Description: Dense spikes of brilliant red blooms in July – October. Offsets from the lower leaves put down roots which become the plant next year. Full sun to full shade, moist to wet, humus- rich, sandy & clay soils.  Depends on hummingbirds, which feed on the nectar, for pollination.
